What’s more, an even greater number of iconic lesbian bars (including the iconic “Sisters” in Philadelphia and L.A.’s own Oxwood Inn) have been shut down since the release of the documentary. When small-town lesbians come to the big city in hopes of finding a space designed for people like them, will they only come to find gay-male centric nightclubs?
